The Old Cuban
Recently had a chance to check out the gorgeous victorsocialclub and try their Cuban-inspired cocktail menu. They also were kind enough to provide their cocktail recipe for the Old Cuban!
The Deano
Last but certainly not least — Cocktail #3 for the @holycityhandcraft // @brothersandcraft holiday social tonight plays on our Christmas season heartstrings. Made with local @stripedpigdistillery spiced rum, the fall spices infused into the rum lends itself well to this festive, tiki-inspired cocktail.
Ube Daiquiri
Another Filipino-inspired recipe for your feed 🇵🇭
Daiquiris have a special place in my heart, but not as much as the flavors of ube and calamansi. These two ingredients are staples in Filipino culture. When I was growing up in the Philippines, the go-to citrus wasn’t lemon or lime, it was calamansi. If you havent had it before, think of it as a cross between an orange, kumquat, and lime. Heavily citrusy with a sour back-end. Together with an Agricole from my friends at @highwirechs and a funky Jamaican rum from @hampdenestaterum - this recipe was a winner. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Cheers y’all.
PIŃA VERDE
Alright @notjustabartender, you convinced me…
Some people are out there hoarding their Green Chartreuse and some of us are using it as a base spirit 😂 This one is like if a Piña Colada and a Chartreuse Swizzle had a baby and served it over crushed ice in a Coco Lopez can. A big thank you Erick Castro-Diaz (@hungrybartender) for this spec. Absolutely incredible.
Queen Peach Crush
Here’s your Friday night in a glass.
This one is a little more involved but I promise it’s worth it. When it comes to crushable tiki-style cocktails, this is it right here. With the addition of peach, this might just be the perfect end to summer cocktails.
Coffee Infused Kingston Negroni
Coffee + Jamaican Rum + #NegroniWeek seems like a winning combo, right?
I’ve been wanting to use this pour over stand from Farmhouse Pottery for a cocktail and just haven’t found the right occasion for it…. UNTIL NOW. If you haven’t had the combo of coffee + Campari, it's a match made in heaven so you gotta try this one out.
#ProTip : if you find this a little too bitter for your taste, add a pinch of salt and thank me later! Cheers y’all.
Brûlée Caipirinha
An easy twist on classic Caipirinha, saúde!
This is the national drink of Brazil and I don’t want to ruffle any feathers, so…. Want it more traditional? Leave out the lime wedge + torch all together. Want it even easier than that? Don’t worry about shaking it, just stir it like the locals do! Cheers y’all.
The Dark 'N Stormy
Do you know how the Dark ’n Stormy got its name? It’s credited to a sailor who saw this drink and proclaimed that it was “the color of a cloud only a fool or a dead man would sail under.” Two ingredients. That’s all that’s required to pull off a combo that’s rich, fizzy, sweet, spicy, and satisfying - you’re dang right it’s perfect for this hot summer weather. Cheers y’all.
Mint Chocolate Julep
Looking for a low-ABV cocktail this January? I’ve got you covered.
Together with angosturahouse, we’ve created the perfect low-proof julep riff using their newest member of the bitters’ family: ANGOSTURA® cocoa bitters. This recipe combines the traditional pairing of mint + chocolate to make for an easy-to-sip, simple cocktail that you can enjoy during #DryJanuary and beyond.
Mardi Daiquiri
Hope everyone had a happy and safe thanksgiving weekend! Here’s a recipe to help you get back to the grind this week.
The Swizz Army Knife
I’m overdue for a little tiki in my life 🗿 If you haven’t used Clairin (Haitian Rum) in your tiki drinks, you are seriously missing out.
The Pineapple Champagne Punch
This one packs a PUNCH. Looking back at that time I worked with Garden and Gun to recreate Dorothy Heyward’s Champagne Punch thanks to Wayne Curtis
Crushed Berrymore
Strawberry and coconut just go so well together, so here’s a little something for y’all to crush on this wonderful day.
Boho Rosa Swizzle
Just a couple more views of the Boho Rosa House in during my last shoot that inspired this cocktail 🙌🏾
Tropikalia
This is recipe is made with a unique spirit I received this recently called Trakal which is made in Patagonia with native ingredients. They use local apple and pear varietals to create the base alcohol and work with local communities to hand-pick seven native herbs and four native berries. Figured why not add more fruit and make a tiki-style cocktail and this one worked out perfectly.
South Caroline Swizzle
A summer swizzle recipe for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own home or apartment to beat this heat.
