Paloma
Today we’re making classic Palomas for #WorldPalomaDay
Everyone’s out here trying to complicate a Paloma when it couldn’t be simpler. If you can make a Batanga, you can make a Paloma. The addition of salt with the slight bitterness of the grapefruit brings out more of the sweet citrus notes of the grapefruit and rounds this cocktail. Combined with a blanco tequila (I used tequilaocho ), this is one of the most simple cocktails you can make, especially for this #MDW.
20th Century
Let’s make a cocktail I didn’t think I’d like.
I always thought the lemon and chocolate sounded awful together but this was actually perfectly balanced and I was pleasantly surprised at how it turned out. Is it my new favorite cocktail? No, but will I make it again? Absolutely.
Oaks Lily
Oaks Day is just a week away and you know what that means?
What we have here is the Finlandiavodka_us Oaks Lily Cocktail: The Official Drink of the Kentucky Oaks. It’s light, refreshing and the perfect cocktail when you’re dressed to the nines for a bright, sunny day… or maybe just at home in your finest athleisure-wear. Cheers y’all.
Army & Navy
Idk what took me so long to make this classic.
This is the Army & Navy - I’ve had a bottle of orgeat in my fridge for the last six months and I don’t use it nearly enough. Luckily I got some inspo from notjustbartender (peep that tin flip in the beginning 😬) and finally put that orgeat to good use. This cocktail is simple to make and the flavors work so well together. Definitely worth a try!
The Dark 'N Stormy
Do you know how the Dark ’n Stormy got its name? It’s credited to a sailor who saw this drink and proclaimed that it was “the color of a cloud only a fool or a dead man would sail under.” Two ingredients. That’s all that’s required to pull off a combo that’s rich, fizzy, sweet, spicy, and satisfying - you’re dang right it’s perfect for this hot summer weather. Cheers y’all.
New York Sour
This late 1800’s classic combines a traditional whiskey sour but adds a red wine floater. It’s as beautiful as it is delicious and its a great gateway to wine drinkers who “hate” bourbon. Give this one a shot!
The Japanese Highball
Ah yes, the Highball with Japanese Whisky - an easy 2-ingredient cocktail that is as refreshing as it is easy to make...
Dirty Martini
A home bar standard and favorite, the Dirty Martini. This recipe is perfect and provides the perfect balance.
Bourbon Milk Punch: Your New Favorite Dessert Cocktail
Psst... the secret is in the syrup.
