Key Lime Time Margarita
Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful moms out there!
Today I’ve #partnered with @nataliesoj to bring you an easy Mother’s Day margarita recipe that anyone can make using Natalie’s fresh juices and topped with a refreshing Jalapeño/Key Lime Margarita Sorbet infused with @tanteotequila from @tipsyscoop! Cheers y’all.
Batanga Margarita
What happens when you cross a margarita and a Batanga? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I had this crazy idea to merge these two iconic Mexican cocktails without really knowing if it it'll work or not. In theory, the elements in a cola syrup wouldn't be too far off from an amaro. We've made the Jagerita before (yes, it's a Jagermeister as a base spirit in a margarita) - and I actually kinda enjoyed it. I'm writing all this before I even do any R&D on this cocktail but I have a feeling like it'll all work out. Unless I'm wrong.

20th Century Whiskey Sour
Lemon and chocolate don’t belong together… or do they?
I’ve made a 20th Century cocktail in the past and thought there was no way it would work. Lemon and chocolate don’t traditionally go together but for some reason, in that cocktail, it just works. While I think the original version was ok (made with gin), bourbon is a much better fit for this cocktail.
What do you think, would you try this?
Cheers y’all.
Spicy Pickle Margarita
Jumping on the pickle margarita bandwagon… c’mon in, we’ve got room 🥒
Yeah I know it’s been done but had to try it for myself. In theory it works right? You put a salt (brine) and lime (acid) in your margaritas right? So why not add pickle juice which adds those elements as well. I used a spicy pickle brine here and it was incredible. Note that I used the new @lalospirits high proof here, a whopping 2oz of it, but the spec below made for a well balanced, spicy, sour margarita that you’ll love… unless you hate pickles that is, in which case, we can’t be friends anymore.
Cheers y’all.
Dill & Chill
While we had some downtime at Sony Camera Camp, me and a couple other food creators just hung out at the pool bar and I figured I'd get behind the bar and make a drink. The dill stole the show here, they just happened to be growing some fresh in the herb garden at @konakai last month and figured I'd put it to good use along with some of the other in
Charreada
¡Happy #CincoDeMayo, mis amigos!
.
I’m happy to bring you one of the most unique recipes from the Copper Bar the @patron Hacienda last week. We liked it so much, both @highproofpreacher and I posted about it without even coordinating haha Thanks to our dude @gingerbartender for providing the recipe!
.
A little background: The Charreada is a rodeo-like tradition dating back to the arrival of Spanish horsemanship to Mexico in the 16th century. Once a competition between Haciendas, it is now performed by teams of professional charros and is an important touchstone of Mexican culture. So there’s your fun fact for the day - now get out there and enjoy this day respectfully and responsibly, salud!
Tahonarita
Just because #CincoDeMayo is over doesn't mean we're done with Tequila cocktails.
.
If you're wondering about the "glassware" - its from the folks at @tossware, a stylish, 100% recyclable and BPA-free alternative to using those traditional plastic containers. I can see myself using this for cocktails at the beach or pool this summer and as a bonus, they're 100% sustainable as well. This is #notanad - but after trying the product a couple times, I thought it would be a great product to share with y'all. Fun fact: they are NOT dishwasher safe... as my wife and I recently found out :D
Cara Cara Margarita
Want a chance to go to Guadalajara and take home a grand prize??
This annual competition is open to both pro and amateur bartenders nationwide to challenge them to craft bold and spicy cocktails using Tanteo Tequila.
Habañero Palomarita
Habañero x Paloma x Margarita = ?
Introducing a fiery twist on two classic cocktails, the Paloma and the Spicy Margarita. This original recipe combines the refreshing citrus notes of a Paloma with the heat of a Spicy Margarita to create a unique drink for your summer cocktail arsenal. It’s the perfect blend of sweet, sour, and spicy, making it the ideal choice for those who enjoy a bit of a kick in their cocktail.
Cheers y’all.
Rosa Margarita
A cocktail worthy to celebrate National Rosa Tequila Day.
We’ve created a recipe which highlights Calirosa - a tequila aged for 30 days in red wine barrels which gives it its unique pink hue along with adding notes of strawberry, honey and oak. This recipe is meant to be enjoyed with friends and its a perfect drink to bust out at your next pool party.
Cheers y’all!
Spicy Salted Peach Margarita
I get my peaches out in SC 🍑
I’ve teamed up with redclayhotsauce to create a spicy peach margarita recipe thats sure to be a summer favorite. Adding their spicy peach honey and spicy margarita salt into the mix provides a balance of sweet, savory, spicy and sour to this already delicious recipe, check it out below!
Shelby Street Sour
The atomized mezcal is 🔑
Sharing a recipe I created for the menu over at the new bar at claytonandcrume last month. Think of it like an elevated margarita. If you’re ever in Louisville, make sure to stop by the flagship store and let the talented @itslesliebryan make it for you! Happy Friday y’all.
Summer's End
#LaborDayWeekend Vibez.
With Labor Day coming up, it also means the end of summer is just around the corner, to create a recipe fitting for such an occasion. This one is a simple/fruit-forward cocktail that is easily batched and will leave you (and your guests) wanting more. Cheers y’all!
Felicidad Margarita
A little tequila never hurt no one. This cocktail is not one to disappoint - think Margarita, but with pineapple and hibiscus. Its so, so good.
Muerto Noche
Looking for that Halloween cocktail recipe? Well look no further than this cocktail made with casadonramon’s Mezcal Don Ramón. This recipe is inspired by Dia de Los Muertos and combines traditional Mexican molé flavors to a traditional Mexican spirit. The ancho liqueur, combined with cocoa bitters rounds out the smokiness of Mezcal brining you a truly one of a kind flavor.
Reposwizzle
When in doubt, always float the rum. This tequila based tiki-inspired cocktail is sure to please. The black strap rum floater is a must-have. Cheers y’all.
The Fancy That
Coming at you with a tequila recipe to compliment the season - hope everyone is still staying safe and healthy out there!
